The society held a committee meeting in the Guildhall on Wednesday.
The editor of the Thaxted Bulletin reported that the next issue would be published at the beginning of November.
The village design statement exhibition in the Guildhall on September 27 and 28 had been most successful, with more than 150 visitors.
Phyllis Leigh’s legacy will be used for a new seat at the Windmill.
The next meeting will be the annual meeting on November 18, at the United Reformed Church, when the speaker will be Charles Hill, who is an art expert from the fraud squad.
Members were reminded about the Sound the Trumpet concert on Saturday, for the restoration of the Thaxted Lincoln organ.
