Witham's self proclaimed biggest Olly Murs supporters served the singers’ mother breakfast at the weekend.
And on Monday night the X Factor star’s parents, Peter and Vicky, popped into Mama Dell’s in Newland Street to thank the team for their backing and hand over a signed Olly picture.
The Witham and Braintree Times teamed up with Mama Dell’s last week to offer a special promotion on the Olly breakfast.
Simone Iorizzo, who runs Mama Dell’s, said that last Saturday Olly’s mother, Vicky, popped in the cafe.
“She was a lovely woman and really complimentary,” she said.
Simone said the a-board outside Mama Dell’s will now be displaying a different message in support of Olly each week.
Today the cafe is giving £1 to Children in Need for every Olly breakfast they sell.
Mrs Murs said the family got to the London studio early last Saturday evening which meant they were able to have a good chat with their son, something which is difficult at the weekend with him being in hot demand by press and fans.
Mrs Murs said former X Factor star Chico gave his support to Olly at the weekend and wished him luck.
