Organiser of the Brainwave Family Fun Day were “over the moon” with the success of this year’s event.
The Brainwave charity in Witham raised more than £1,000 when it opened it’s doors on Saturday to give tours of the centre and host an array of entertainments including stalls, reflexology and tarot cards.
Witham MP Priti Patel and mayor John Goodman and town councillor Bill Rose all attended the event with people from the town.
Community manager Gerry Gould said: “We were delighted with the way the whole day went.
“The sun came out and it was an excellent turn out.
“Lots of people from the local community came which was a joy to see.
“We held a family fun day last year and this was an even better success than last year.”
Brainwave offers therapy to children with Development Delay and disabilities and shows their parents how to do it at home.
