Who is Stephen Graham and who is his wife Hannah Walters?

The actor has starred in a variety of highly-rated TV programmes and series and if you’d like to know more about his work, look no further.

His latest work comes in the form of a thriller series called Bodies which was released on Netflix today (October 19).

From Peaky Blinders to Line of Duty, Graham has played a variety of roles in recent TV shows – here’s what we know about the actor.

Who is Stephen Graham?

Stephen Graham hasn’t only starred in recent TV shows and films, in fact he’s best known for appearing in This Is England.

The Liverpudlian played Andrew Gascoigne in the film back in 2006.

He starred in the 2000 crime comedy film Snatch alongside Brad Pitt and Jason Statham, and 2019 gangster epic The Irishman, in which he played real-life mobster Anthony Provenzano alongside Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.

Graham also played criminals Stephen Shang in Gangs Of New York in 2002, Baby Face Nelson in Public Enemies in 2009, and Al Capone in period crime drama Boardwalk Empire.

Graham has played Mr Wormwood in the Matilda The Musical film and featured in the BBC hit series Line Of Duty.

You might also recognise him from the BBC series Boiling Point which is currently airing on BBC One.

The Merseyside-born actor was named on the New Year Honours list and he said he shares his OBE with his “incredible warrior” mother after she died shortly before he received the award.

Over a three-decade career, Graham has won plaudits playing Irish, English and American criminals and police officers in blockbuster Hollywood films and hit TV dramas.

Who is Stephen Graham’s wife?

Graham is married to actress Hannah Walters and the pair have worked alongside each other in This Is England and Boiling Point.

Speaking on BBC Radio Four’s Desert Island Discs in 2019, Graham said he and Walters moved in together in south London after what was technically their first date following a period of talking.

He added: “This is kind of where Hannah came into my life properly.”

Walters, who is executive producer along with Graham on the Boiling Point TV series, also helps him choose his roles.

He told a Bafta session: “I’m dyslexic, so I struggle. My missus actually reads the script and says whether or not I’m doing it. She’s made some good choices.”
