N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos joined the I’m A Celebrity jungle earlier this month and while taking part in her first Bushtucker Trial alone, things didn’t go quite to plan as she needed medical attention.

Bushtucker Trials see celebrities, voted for by the public, complete challenges to earn stars which means meals for camp.

Campmates are never alone though as the producers make sure to add critters – anything from cockroaches to snakes and baby crocodiles.

Taking part in her first Bushtucker Trial, Shock Around The Clock, Tulisa was strapped into a narrow box and spun around upside down while answering trivia questions.

Tulisa called in medics to help during Bushtucker Trial

At one point though, one of the many bugs decided it would enter Tulisa’s ear which led to her asking for the trial to be stopped so medics could help her out, reports The Mirror.

Viewers were not able to see that the trial stopped as the clip was left out of the main show but a TV source told The Sun: “Mid-way through the trial the show medics rushed in to help.

“Tulisa was convinced something was in her ear - she wasn’t sure if it was a cockroach, cricket or fly - and had to have a syringe wash. She carried on after that but she was horrified.”

Tulisa continued to be turned upside down like a hand on the clock that was underneath her.

Her task was to pick 12 things that fit into each category given to her by presenters Ant and Dec, during a 60-second time frame.

She was asked to name 12 British Kings and Queens, 12 football clubs in the English Premier League and more.

After the trial, in which she won five out of 12 stars for camp, the 36-year-old said she “just went blank”.

She added: "When I was in there my brain just wouldn't function, it just went blank, I was just trying to survive."
