POLICE are hunting a thief after a cutting tool and crowbar were used to break into a shop and steal cash.
Investigators say one person was seen using the device to open the front door of the Co-op store in East Street, Coggeshall, in the early hours of this morning.
Once inside, the thief removed an ATM, forced it open and took money.
The suspect is described as wearing dark-coloured clothing, a baseball cap, and holding a crowbar.
It happened at around 12.50am on Friday, January 4.
Anyone who saw or heard anything, has any CCTV or dash cam footage, or have any other information should call police on 101 quoting incident 34 of January 4.
