Freeport has revealed exactly what will happen to the nearby train station after bosses announced the shopping centre would be renamed.
Owners Landsec have changed the name of the outlet to Braintree Village ahead of redevelopment of the site.
New shop fronts will be installed, along with an extra 400 car parking spaces, a new entrance and changes to the surrounding roads.
A spokesman for the centre has told the Times the rebrand of the centre will not lead to an immediate change to the name of the nearby train station, Braintree Freeport.

The small station was built specifically for shoppers travelling to and from the shopping outlet and is the penultimate stop on the branch line which terminates at Braintree.
Newly named Braintree Village says discussions will take place over the name of the station in the near future, meaning it could also be rebranded to match the shopping outlet.
