THREE people were taken to hospital after a crash on the A120 yesterday afternoon (May 14).
The three-vehicle crash happened at around 4pm at the junction with West Street, Coggeshall.
It blocked the road in both directions for around three hours and led to long delays for drivers.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 4.04pm with reports of a collision on the A120 in Coggeshall.
"We sent a community first responder, three ambulances and an ambulance officer.
"Two people were taken to Broomfield Hospital and one person was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment."
Firefighters from Coggeshall Fire Station were also called to the scene and said they worked to release an elderly woman who was trapped in her car.
