Witham Town kept the pressure on the Ryman League division one north's top two by easing to a 4-0 home win against Burnham Ramblers.
Two goals in either half saw Town manager Garry Kimble record a victory against the team that had given him his first appointment as a manager.
Midfielder James Stevens found the back of the net in both halves of the game with two penalty strikes, while an eighth minute goal for Tom Wraight and a 62nd minute effort by Lewis Goldbold saw the hosts ease to another three points.
That ensured Witham stayed third in the table and only four points behind second-placed Heybridge Swifts, who were busy beating Aveley 3-1 at Scraley Road.
