Witham Town manager Garry Kimble is expecting to make changes to his side as they welcome Thurrock to the Village Glass Stadium in the fourth round of the Essex Senior Cup tonight.
With a busy schedule of Ryman League division one north games coming up, Kimble wants to keep his squad fresh and while tonight’s game (kick-off 7.45pm) is one he wants to win, he feels he may need to shuffle things around.
He said: “It’s not a priority really, but I do want to win.
“Our priority has to be with the league, so I’ll be utilising my squad to keep things fresh.
“People may need a rest and I need to keep others fit it they may not have been playing.
“Thurrock may have the same idea and may utilise their squad as well, but they may have a full-strength side out.
“However, I have to look at our squad and I think we should have enough to win even if I do make a few changes.
“I want to win, but the priority is the league and no-one can tell me any different.”
Sam Taylor is likely to be out with a back problem, while Craig Emery is still returning from a foot injury and Rob Whitnell is on the comeback trail after his hernia operation.
