Liam Enver-Marum has joined Skrill South side Bishop's Stortford following his departure from Braintree Town.
The Iron announced yesterday that the 26-year-old striker had been released from his registration at the club.
Enver-Marum has now confirmed that he had asked to be released as he had received an offer from Stortford and wanted to get more game-time than he was getting at Braintree.
He said on his Twitter account: "I'd like to correct what was put on the braintree website. I left the club as another club had come in for me and I felt it would benefit me."
Enver-Marum then added: "To go as I was not getting much game time but I would like to thank braintree and wish all the lads the best of luck."
