Braintree Town have announced more exciting news after unveiling their new manager with two pre-season friendlies against Essex Football League sides.
On the day that it was revealed that legendary Iron player Bradley Quinton had returned to the club as their new boss, it was announced that they will be facing both Colchester United and Southend United in pre-season action.
The U's will make the trip to face Quinton's side at the Ironmongery Direct Stadium on Saturday, July 22, while the Blues will be visiting seven days previously on Saturday, July 15.
Both games are set to kick-off at 3pm.
Other pre-season games that Braintree have arranged are a trip to Bury Town on Tuesday, July 18, and a home game against League Two side Barnet on Tuesday, July 25.
That game against the Bees could see the return of former Iron player Simeon Akinola, who moved from Braintree to Barnet in January.
