ANGELO Harrop insists his Braintree Town side will be a 'different animal' when they host Yeovil Town, this weekend.
The Iron were comprehensively beaten 3-0 at Oldham Athletic last Saturday, in their National League opener.
Braintree are now preparing for their first home game of the season against the Glovers at the Rare Breed Meat Co Stadium and boss Harrop wants the supporters to play their part in helping them claim a maiden victory, in the fifth tier.
Harrop told the Braintree Town YouTube channel: "Every game is going to be very tough, in this league.
"I know all of our fans are disappointed but I'd say to all of them to get right behind the team, on Saturday.
"We need to make it a fortress.
"We'll be a different animal and we need to give our fans something to sing about and make sure the performance is far better."
Braintree fell 2-0 at Oldham, following first-half goals from Jes Uchegbulam and Harry Charsley.
Inih Effiong’s penalty was saved late in the first half, before Mike Fondop sealed the Latics' victory just before the hour mark.
"We were obviously very disappointed with the result," added Harrop.
"It wasn't a great performance and a really, really difficult one to take against a very, very good side.
"We need to learn from it and learn from it fast.
"I'm disappointed; we've had a good pre-season but we just looked off it.
"I won't pinpoint any players but they know in that dressing room that's not good enough.
"That doesn't represent myself, or the staff or this football club.
"We need to defend far better than that.
"You've got to defend one-v-ones better and there were a lot of mistakes out there today.
"But the football club has got staff that will work really hard to change this.
"Last year, we lost the first game and ended up winning the play-offs.
"This isn't going to be something we'll be able to fix quickly - we're going to have to work really hard.
"But we've got good lads in our dressing room.
"They understand that that wasn't good enough and it's up to them now to work hard to change that."
