WITHAM Town racked up a fourth successive victory after beating Felixstowe and Walton United 3-2, writes JIM PUTILL.

Garry Kimble's team defeated a strong Felixstowe side, in a classic Isthmian League division north clash at the Simarco Stadium.

Felixstowe dominated possession with fluid interplay early on, with Zak Brown shooing just over and Witham goalkeeper Harry Fairs saving smartly from Charlie Warren.

Witham threatened when Archie McFadden tested Felixstowe keeper Harry Wright, while Zak Brown's effort was saved by Fairs after half an hour.

Ryan Dear was outstanding in the centre of the Witham defence and Liam Whipps had his best game for some time.

McFadden was a thorn in Felixstowe’s side and one of his crosses resulted in Callum Fitzer's fierce shot being saved by Wright.

Two minutes into added time in the first half, Osude was fouled in an ugly challenge by Leon Ottley-Gooch which injured both players.

Ottley-Gooch received a yellow card and was unable to continue but the subsequent free-kick resulted in a corner from which Luke Ige headed home to put Witham a goal up.

Witham began the second half in more positive mode.

McFadden fired just over the bar before Osude doubled Witham’s lead in the 55th minute. He chased a through ball and his pace allowed him to escape from his marker and head the ball over the advancing Wright, befor slotting into the net.

Felixstowe still had plenty of possession and continually put pressure on the Witham defence.

But Witham were far more clinical in attack and Deese Kasinga-Madia put the hosts three goals up with a spectacular finish in the 64th minute.

The second-half introduction of substitute Kamani McFarlane added to Witham’s attacking potency.

He frequently found space in midfield and displayed quality in running past opponents and passing well.

However, Felixstowe’s passing game was still giving Witham problems and the visitors reduced the arrears when Billy Holland scored in the 74th minute from a free-kick on the left.

The Seasiders attacked with renewed energy and both sides looked capable of scoring. Felixstowe finished strongly and a Callum Harrison penalty in the 90th minute put the outcome in doubt.

However, the visitors' recovery arrived too late and Witham collected the points.
