ANGELO Harrop has been dismissed as Braintree Town's first-team manager.
Harrop, who had been in charge at Iron since May 2022, has departed following the club's disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Maidenhead United, on Tuesday night.
The defeat left Braintree 20th in the National League table and only out of the relegation zone on goal difference.
Following last night's match, Braintree's board of directors discussed the situation at the club before meeting with Harrop to advise him of their concerns and their decision to end his tenure, as first-team manager.

Iron first-team coach Justin Moseley has taken over as interim manager, while the club look for a permanent successor for Harrop.
Braintree chairman Lee Harding said: "We have been talking with Angelo since the start of the season and the Board have decided it is time for a change to safeguard the club's future.
"We would like to thank Angelo for his efforts over the past two years at the club.
"We have achieved much together and wish him all the very best in the future.
"We then spoke with both Justin Moseley and senior players after the game, who have all agreed to help the club going forward.
"All of us are now focused on turning our fortunes around with training this week and our game against Gateshead on Saturday."
Harrop departs after two and a half years at the club, in which time he led Braintree to promotion to the National League last season and also the Essex Senior Cup, in 2023.
The Iron finished fifth in National League South and beat Worthing 4-3 after extra-time in the play-off final, to secure them a place in non-league football's top flight for the first time since 2019.
Harrop had earlier led Braintree to the National League South play-offs, in his first year in charge.
The former AFC Sudbury boss agreed a new contract in May this year but has now departed.
Braintree will be advertising for a replacement in due course.
